The cottage has lots of original features and has been renovated by the present owners to a very good standard. Some of the rooms have lovely sea views and the living room has a cosy wood burner to curl up in front of after a long walk along the rugged coastline. Staithes is within the North York Moors National Park so stunning scenery and traditional Yorkshire villages are in abundance. The village has a good local pub serving food, as well as a shop for essentials. Staithes is a great place for fossil hunting and in the summer you see many children enjoying searching the rock pools and crevices for these fossils. The village is like stepping back in time with its cobbled streets and quaint, quirky cottages that lead down to the harbour where you can sit and enjoy a drink with the locals at the pub.
