Quiet retreat surrounded by croft land.
A perfect spot for outdoor pursuits, cultural excursions or just to get away from it all. A short, scenic drive from the property and you're in Scotland's wildest glen, Glen Affric, with the largest area of Caledonian pine forest in Britain. There are many hiking, cycling and fishing opportunities nearby. Loch Affric, Beinn a Chairein, Plodda Falls, and much more! You could even take on the spectacular Affric Kintail Way. The cottage itself is near a popular cycling route and just over the river from Glen Strathfarrar. Local forest walks a-plenty, including the ancient woodland of Reelig Glen and the Belladrum estate, with the lovely Wild Gorse Kitchen . A short drive to the quaint, historic village of Beauly, where you can explore the stunning remains of the Beauly Priory and popular cafes. A fantastic base before starting the famous NC500 route which begins in Inverness.
