Fowey River Views, originally part of a Victorian villa, is now a beautifully decorated, light and airy waterside apartment (sleeps 4). Right on the waters edge, you can enjoy glorious views across the river to the village of Bodinnick, and Daphne Du Maurier’s old home Ferryside. The Juliet balcony offers the perfect spot to relax and watch the various activities and wildlife on the river. Please note River Views is a 1st / 2nd floor apartment and may not be suitable for the elderly. Whether you enjoy coastal walks or exploring the shops and restaurants of Fowey, River Views is an ideal destination and a comfortable retreat all year round. 100% cotton bed linen and towels are provided; please note that for guest comfort, Fowey River views is non smoking. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets.

We have been regular visitors to Fowey over the years, whether it's the excitement of Regatta week or a quieter break in the winter months. Our children have come to love Fowey too and over the years have enjoyed the simple pleasures of building sand-castles, crabbing and rock-pooling. We all love to get on the water by kayak or boat and explore the river, spotting the various birdlife and even occasional dolphins and seals! We also enjoy walking around the area, exploring the beautiful Cornish coastline. And of course, whilst in Fowey, delicious Cornish ice-creams and cream teas are a must, along with fun evenings at Sam’s restaurant. My husband’s parents put River Views on the market in 2009 and we thought this would be a great opportunity to keep it in the family (it was built in 1892 by my husband’s great-great-grandfather). We love to visit Fowey as a family and hope to do so for many years to come.

Delightful coastal walks are on your doorstep (our favourites are Hall Walk from Bodinnick to Polruan and The Saints Way to Polkerris), along with other activities such as sailing, kayaking and boat trips. The shops and restaurants of Fowey are just a short stroll away, while Readymoney Cove, a sheltered sandy beach, is approximately fifteen minutes walk away. Fowey is well placed for trips to The Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, and other days out in the beautiful county of Cornwall.
