On the estate of Gorton House, a stone's throw to Roslin Glen and the banks of the North Esk River are the Orchard Cottages. Self-catering accommodation located a 30 minutes drive from Edinburgh city centre, giving you a perfect blend of city and countryside. The Orchard Cottages, Plum, Apple and Cherry Cottage, are three self-contained, detached units with their own private gardens and parking. Gorton is a place that all will enjoy, whether it be a small family holiday or a larger group, booking all three cottages. There is an endless list of things to do and see nearby, or you can simply relax with spectacular views of the Pentland Hills.

My husband and I live in Gorton House, a stones throw from the Orchard Cottages. We love this area, with the privacy, quiet and wildlife surrounding us. We have a Cocker Spaniel, Maisie who spends most of her time exploring in the garden. We hope that you enjoy this place as much as we do.

We are fairly remote so do recommend having a car for transport. However, Rosewell is a 10 minute walk away, where you can find a cafe, groceries and bus stop that will link you to Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. Roslin is a short drive away where you will find pubs, cafes, groceries, post office, and the famous Rosslyn Chapel.
