Great Fryup View cottage is located in Great Fryup Dale, near Lealholm in the North York Moors National Park, a beautiful landscape of stunning moorland, spectacular coast, ancient woodland and historic sites. The best way to experience this unspoilt landscape is on two feet or two wheels, with many routes and walks accessible directly from the cottage. There are lots of short family walks and cycle rides as well as long distance trails, such as the Cleveland Way National Trail, and challenging mountain bike routes including the nearby Yorkshire Cycle Hub. Villages close to the Fryup Dale holiday cottages include Lealholm and Danby, location for the National Park's Moors centre with interesting displays about the National Park and its work as well as the starting point for further stunning walks! Approximately 11 miles from Great Fryup Dale lies the fishing port of Whitby, famous for Captain Cook, whaling and Dracula! Whilst York, Scarborough and Flamingo Land are all also nearby.
