Very conveniently placed for the town centre's shops, bars, restaurants, the Harrogate Convention Centre (conference and exhibition hub), & bus and train stations. With regular direct trains to York & Leeds, and regular buses to Ripon, Starbeck, Knaresborough, Wetherby & Leeds, it's a great base for exploring the area without needing the car. This is a converted apartment, which is part of an old house. It is double glazed and centrally heated which makes it cosy and warm. The apartment is ideally suited to 2 guests but there are 2 futon chairs that convert to small single beds in the front room & therefore can accommodate 2 more guests. Due to the size of the futon beds, although they are ok for adults, they're more suitable for children. They will be made up when required with a thick mattress topper to make them more comfortable. Tea, coffee & sugar is provided, along with milk, bread and butter if required. Please let me know if you have any other requirements, if for example you are staying for a special occasion. A lot of people visit for events at the Harrogate convention centre, which is within walking distance. Famous places to visit are Betty's tearooms & Harlow Carr Gardens. If you enjoy walking there's a lovely walk through the Valley Gardens that continues to Harlow Carr Gardens (information leaflets are available in the apartment). If you're here by car, just a short drive away there's some scenic walks around Swinsty, Fewston & Thruscross reservoirs; details are on the Yorkshire Water website. Eating out is a pleasure with many different cuisines i.e. Greek, Indian, Italian, Chinese, Turkish and many more.
