Cliff Stud Retreat offers you the option of a cosy cottage (sleeps 5) or a luxury lodge (sleeps 2) set in a 220 acres private estate in Helmsley.. Our trio of lodges each have their own unique individual themed rooms within which you will love to spend time on a long relaxing Adults Only weekend. All underfloor heated, with flat screen TV's, a sitting area, private bathroom andfully equipped kitchen. All have an outside private terrace and a shared picnic area. Our cottages are child and pet friendly and have the expected cottage charm with modern amenities. Cliff Stud Retreat is a 220 acre estate within the historic market town of Helmsley. We have two cozy cottages that’s sleep 5 and three luxury lodges that sleep 2 in each, set in its own enclave and in North York Moors. Our cottages and lodges are located on a working stud farm where you will be able to see mares and foals enjoying their own holiday! Helmsley is full of quaint shops, cafes and restaurants and only 2 miles away in Harome you have the michelin starred restaurant The Star of Harome. Castle Howard is a 12 minute drive away and Whitby around 30-40 minutes drive.

We are positioned on the North York Moors allowing plenty of walking in the surrounding area. Duncombe Park estate which has it's own walled garden cafe is a 5 minute drive from the lodges in the centre of Helmsley. Next to this you can visit the Birds of Prey Centre. Castle Howard often holds events and you are able to visit the house itself and there is a cafe and garden centre. 2 miles away and located in Harome are two fantastic pubs/restaurants - The Star at Harome (Michelin) and The Pheasant
