The cottage caters to families with young children, with hands-on farmyard experiences available throughout your stay. A giant trampoline and a games room with professional pool and table tennis tables ensure there’s never a dull moment! For those without kids, the cottage is a cosy countryside retreat. Its central location makes it easy to explore West Dorset, from the Jurassic Coast to charming nearby towns like Bridport and Axminster. After a day of exploring beaches or walking the cliffs, unwind in your own garden area with stunning views, a charcoal barbecue, and shared access to a full therapy massage hot tub. For an additional dose of outdoor fun, why not add a‘campfire experience’ or an ATV tour of the farm? Whether you’re craving rest or adventure, Hogchester Cottage has something for everyone.
We live on the farm here and run the site as a nature reserve, where we are restoring the land for nature, including over 17 acres of beautiful wildflower meadows (as featured in David Attenborough's Wild Isles series). We love welcoming people onto the farm so they too can enjoy the tranquility and fun and connection with nature that it offers.
We are nestled in a secluded position in the beautiful rolling hills of West Dorset, wtih views to the sea at Charmouth. It's a short drive or a mile or so walk to Charmouth village, with easy access to Charmouth beach from there. Lyme Regis is only 3 miles away, offering a wide choice of beaches, cafes, shops and restaurants, plus a great local theatre and museums.
