Holden House is a friendly family-run business offering quality riverside accommodation in Shardlow, Derbyshire. All of our bedrooms are en-suite with colour television and radio. Tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries and towels are also provided.
Holden House was built at the end of the 18th Century as The Holden Arms Public House and is a Grade II listed building within the Shardlow Conservation area (1975). Holden House is situated on the bank of the River Trent and is adjacent to the Trent and Mersey Canal. We aim to provide high quality accommodation to enable our guests to have an comfortable stay with thoughts that they will visit us time and time again.
We have recently refurbished all of our rooms to a very high standard but have kept that home away from home feel which is very important to us.
Neighbourhood information
Within the village on Shardlow Wharf, next to the Clock Warehouse is a most interesting place called “The Shardlow Heritage Centre” full of everything about Shardlow’s history including the old, now demolished Shardlow Workhouse and is very well worth a visit during the year from Easter until late autumn.
