Company information

Tim and Zena are the new owners of Inglenook Guest House and look forward to welcoming you into their home. We look forward to welcoming you with great company, great coffee, a selection of excellent tea and of course the all important breakfast. Uncomplicated and cheerful, our home is your home during your stay with us. We love walking and there are so many walks from our front door. The Ingleton Waterfalls Trail is a favourite, 4-5 miles of some of the most spectacular scenery in England. You can climb Ingleborough or for the really fit and brave do the Three Peaks Challenge. A gentle walk of about 1 mile to Thornton in Lonsdale and a visit to St Oswalds church where Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was married is well worth the effort. We like tea and cake and there are a number of tea rooms/ cafes within walking distance.

Property information

Inglenook was built in 1892 and has some original Victorian features and lovely high ceilings. It stands on the banks of the river Greta in Ingleton and has fabulous views from every window, some of the river and some of Ingleborough mountain. The picturesque village of Ingleton is only a 5 minute walk away.

Neighbourhood information

Ingleton is a lovely Dales village with pubs, shops and cafes. There is an open air swimming pool ( seasonal) a park and children's play area, Ingleton Pottery, aHeritage Trail and a Hoffman Kiln.Inglenook Guest House is only 1 mile from White Scar Caves, the longest show cave in Britain. It is only a 5 minute drive up the valley to the famous Ribblehead Viaduct (24 arches) and the Settle to Carlisle Railway. Continue for another 20 minutes and you reach Hawes and can visit the Wensleydale Creamery " "cracking cheese Gromit" and The Dales Museum. We are also only 25 miles from the shores of Lake Windermere to the west and 25 miles from Skipton Castle to the east.
