Lagafater Lodge is a charming Edwardian shooting lodge that blends timeless tradition with modern comforts, offering the perfect retreat to relax, recharge, and reconnect with nature. Surrounded by woods, rivers, and windswept moorlands, it is your idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The lodge features three double, two twin, one flexible double/twin, and four single bedrooms, all prepared with fresh linen and towels for your arrival. With three bathrooms and two additional showers, there’s plenty of space for larger groups. Gather in the elegant drawing room, with its Steinway grand piano, board games, card games, and jigsaw puzzles, or enjoy meals in the traditional dining room, prepared in the well-equipped kitchen. The kitchen features a three-oven Aga oven, microwave, separate hob, large fridge, two chest freezers, and a food processor. Cozy up by the wood-burning stove or take advantage of central heating throughout the house for year-round comfort. Whether you’re stargazing under dark skies, exploring the vast 7,000-acre estate, or simply unwinding by the fire, Lagafater Lodge promises an unforgettable getaway for you, your family and your dogs.

You will have unparalleled access to 7,000 acres of moorland and woodland. Lagafater is a working sheep farm, so we ask you to respect the sheep and keep your dogs on leads, but otherwise the whole place is yours to explore.
