Gorleston beach has been listed in the top 10pc of attractions across the globe in the 2020 TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice. It has a long sandy beach with a children's splash pad in the summer and boat pond. Lighthouse View is 5 mins walk from this wonderful beach. Lots of nearby pubs and a fairground. The house itself has 5 large bedrooms (2 with views of the sea), 8 beds, kitchen, family room, sitting room/dining room. Pretty garden and hot tub. There is parking for 2 cars at the back of the house. Square footage of the house is 2076.

Owner Pear Tree B&B and Pear and Olive pub in Hildersham, Cambridge. My husband and I used to run an exhibition and conference company. We ran these events mainly in Africa: Kenya, Nigeria and Mozambique, South Africa. My husband and I are both from South Africa originally. We have three children and six grandchildren. I went to school at St Mary's School for Girls in Johannesburg and then University of Witwatersrand. I also went to Oxford Brooks University in England. I love socialising and mountain views; swimming in a warm sea, Cape Town, the Lake District, Catcher in the Rye, Tamla Motown and jazz. Relax and make yourselves at home as much as possible. Our house is your home for as long as you are here and we want you to be comfortable and enjoy your break in lovely Gorleston. Unfortunately we may not meet you as we live in Cambridge. There is a key lock at the front of the house - I will send you the key code after you book. Lighthouse View is in the midst of Gorleston eateries, shops and restaurants/cafes. There is also a bus that goes direct to Great Yarmouth if you wish to have fun on the pier in the traditional fashion of old time holidays. Bus stop outside the Cliff Hotel. If you turn right out of the house and then right again you will find Margo's. Such a delightful mix of decor and non-matching 60s crockery. Lovely place for a light breakfast or lunch. A few minutes walk up the road (turn right outside the front of our house and follow the road straight up) there is the Cliff Hotel - besides the inside restaurant (Muse) and bar area, there is the wonderful, large terrace over looking the sea. The hotel also has a play area for children next to the terrace. Dogs are allowed on the terrace. There are other places to eat and drink on the beach front. Also a bucket and spade shop. The Shed next to the harbour - a large bar and tapas restaurant. Tasty food. I would advise booking as they are popular at weekends. There is also the lovely park next to the beach which, in the summer, has live bands. You can sit in the sun on the grass and watch all day!
