Hi
Take no notice of the 'auto description' they made above - they put the park in the wrong place!
This is a modern pet friendly static caravan at Southerness Parkdean in a great location with sea views of the Solway Firth. Literally a stones throw from the beach (see photos). It's less than 1km from the Golf Club, not 25km, and in right the middle of Southerness, not Mainsriddle!
It has all the mod cons including dishwasher, microwave, air fryer, 43" TV with both Smart and terrestrial channels, full size fridge / freezer etc. The TV has full NOW TV with Sky Sports / F1, Sky Movies, and all the entertainment channels. It also has Prime and the usual iPlayer / ITVX etc. Internet is provided free of chanrge via the Parkdean Wifinity service.
The kitchen is fully kitted out, including oven, hob, Air Fryer and everything you need - even a Tassimo coffee machine. Just turn up, unpack and off you go exploring!
The caravan comfortably sleeps 4 in the two bedrooms, or up to 6 with the pull out sofa. It has a full shower room, and an en-suite WC to the master bedroom. We have lockable side and rear decking area to keep your pets safe. We allow up to two dogs. There is also a large patio set on the decking with a full sized table, and two bench seats.
We bought the caravan in late 2023 to cater to pet owners. We were not too impressed with the old caravans that parks put us pet owners in when we booked directly with them. So we got a nice one to share with others. The decking makes a world of difference, and the view from the plot is amazing!
This is Simon and Amanda and we welcome you to Southerness. Our caravan has it own site at PetFriendlyHoliday dot co dot uk. There is more info about Southerness there.
We love Southerness and have got this caravan so you can see how great this place is. We have two sausage dogs called Frank & Bruno......messages on a postcard please!
We hope you enjoy your stay. We are new to Booking dot com so any feedback will be appreciated.
It's a super friendly park - although the entertainment centre and restaurant are not dog friendly......but the nearby pubs certainly are dog friendly!
The pubs and the tea caddy are right outside the park, and around a 2 to 3 minute drive from the actual caravan, or a 10 minute walk through the park. (There is a shortcut from the road way, ask me about it!)
There are dog walks and miles of beach everywhere so the perfect place to bring the pooch and explore.
We send a full welcome email on the day of your arrival with the keybox unlock code (so there is no need to even check in at reception).
Do note, as this is a private caravan, you will need to buy the Parkdean passes to use the swimming pool etc from reception. They are not too expensive (enquire at the park) - and are not required if you are not going to use the swimming pools etc.
Surrounded by private owners on Lakeland View so not in the more general areas Parkdean would normally put you in. Literally a stone's throw (1 minute walk) from the beach entrance, yet only a 3 minute walk to the on site shop and bars etc. Stunning location as you can see by the photo's.
Interesting fact: Why is it called Lakeland View when you are in front of the sea? Because you are looking at the Lake District in the distance!
Right on the beach so you can hop off the caravan and about a minute later be on the sand. There are a couple of beach access points.
Everything you need is around. A couple of pubs, really good breakfast at The Tea Caddy, on-site entertainment for all the family, and then the beach and more beach. The Paul Jones Hotel (best place to eat) and the 19th Hole Pub are right outside the park. Plus there is the Southerness Golf Club too - it's a proper golf course that is open to guests (fees will apply on a pay to play basis).
A good park, well run and clean. Well worth a visit.
