You'll find this magnificent luxury holiday cottage with a hot tub and a view in a beautiful rural setting in the heart of Montgomeryshire. Close to the Wales / Shropshire border, and surrounded by gentle hills and rolling countryside, there are many wonderful walks to explore straight from the door-step. In the historic market town of Montgomery, just a couple of miles away, you can join the Offa's Dyke path, a 177-mile National Trail which runs along the England Wales border. With all kinds of flora and fauna on the doorstep, and majestic birds including red kites, owls, and buzzards soaring overhead, the cottage is a great retreat for nature lovers. The rural position of the cottage means that it comes with spectacular night skies, so it's a brilliant place for star-gazing too. Montgomery is a small Royal Charter Town with a delightful array of artisan independent shops, including a great delicatessen, art gallery and book-shop, as well as a small farmers market on Thursdays and Saturdays. It's a lovely town to walk around, with pretty Georgian Architecture and characterful timber framed buildings. There's also a good network of trails to explore by bike or on foot. Montgomery is just a 1.8 mile walk away over the 'Hill Road'. Montgomery Trails offers many mapped out walks for visitors to enjoy. A little further afield you'll find a great choice of local destinations in this lovely part of the world.
