There are an abundance of local walking, cycling and horse riding trails around Widecombe and plenty of adventure to be had in Haytor for families, couples or those with their four legged friends. The Devon Guild of Craftsman is an art exhibition for all to see not too far away at Bovey Tracey, as well as the town of Ashburton with plenty of local shops to visit. Many activities are available to enjoy within a short driving distance such as Woodlands Adventure Park, Pennywell Farm, Dart Valley Railway, Castle Drogo, Becky Falls, Grimspound and Houndtor medieval villages, or the historic Monk’s Abbey in Buckfastleigh.
