This luxury penthouse apartment, within Fernthorpe Hall is set in beautiful, quiet grounds and yet 5 minutes from the heart of Uppermill. This is the perfect base for exploring the Saddleworth area; the outstanding countryside and the quaint, historic villages, shops, galleries, pubs and cafe bars.
You will be warmly welcomed by your hosts Peter & Geoff to a luxury open plan penthouse with; fully equipped kitchen, large open plan lounge; dining area; double and twin bedrooms, both ensuite.
We have been welcoming guests to Fernthorpe Hall for 5 years
Uppermill is a picturesque village on the edge Saddleworth Moor, right by the Pennine Way so great for walkers. There are also many popular events on in the Village - Whit Friday Band Contest, Rush Cart Festival, Annul Santa Dash. The village has many restaurants, pubs and coffee shops as well as a village store, Post Office Butcher, Greengrocer and many independent shops and there is always a welcoming atmosphere
It is only a 25 minute walk to Greenfield station where hourly trains run to both Manchester and Huddersfield and Leeds, or a 5 minute drive with plenty of parking. Buses also serve the area including Oldham and Ashton Under Lyne. Uppermill is easily accessed from both the M62 and the M60l
