Your Dog(s) may join you in the Bar & Stoneroom for both our classic Cotswold breakfasts & Sasa's menus served there from 5.30 every evening. Our Walled gardens are safe and free to roam, for both 2 and 4 legged Guests and the croquet set is never far away. opposite Us is a beautiful Water Meadow & stream again a great place to explore and stretch legs ! We've been here for 19 years in July 2025 and have welcomed over 100,000 Guests in that time , now we're looking forward to You being next !

Welcome to our bit of Cotswold History & Charm - Pettifers & Sons dates back to 16thC , famous Vetinerary Apothecaries tending to the Cotswold valued livestock of yester-year - now our building houses lovely hotel guests as a family owned Independent hotel. We offer Small Doubles for solo use, Classic & Large Doubles for 1 or 2 Guests (there is a extra charge for our Large Rooms to be set up as with Twin beds) , Family Rooms for 3 or 4 Guests too. Last Autumn we introduced a new Anglo-Indian Fusion style of cuisine - Sasa's Indian Bar & Kitchen now operate our food & beverage offer independently to the Hotel - serving beautiful & interesting British Indian fusion dishes in a variety of classics, small plates, sizzling plates, Taco's with a twist, Indie-burgers, voluminous flatbreads, tempting bowls and much, much more. Only 5 minutes by car from The Cotswold Lakes, Kemble train station, Cotswold Airport and 15 minutes from junction 17 of the M4. or the old Capital of the Cotswolds Cirencester. 3 LARGE and FREE off-road car parks & safe-space for bicycles.

We are situated in the an ideal location for visiting areas of interest... Malmesbury 'the oldest borough in England' with the 12th Century Abbey, Tetbury with Highgrove House and Westonbirt Arboretum with it's new STIHL treetop walkway are all within 10 minutes drive from the hotel. We are on the west side of the fabulous Cotswold Lakes ( was Water Park) with its 140+ great lakes, SSSI reserves, coarse & fly fishing, bird watching, cycling, miles of footpaths alongside the Thames and the popular Country Park and Beach! Slightly further, but still close enough for a day out is Slimbridge wildlife reserve, Stow-on-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and for a day our shopping Bath & Cheltenham.
