Location Set right in the heart of the village, opposite the post office and village chip shop, and only a few minutes walk from the dunes and year round dog friendly beach - one of the best locations in the village! Facilities Moonfleet House is a fine period property with large spacious bedrooms and sympathetic furnishings. Three of the bedrooms are king-size, and the 4th has twin beds. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with sumptuous roll top baths. The facilities on offer are perfect for all ages: 5 TV's, high speed WiFi, XBox One, Bose sound system and lots of children's toys and games. There is reserved onsite parking with a newly installed ev charger operated on a pay-as-you-go app. For cosy winter evenings, the main family lounge has a working fireplace with some logs provided, and in the summer, there is a large 8 seater outdoor dining table in the secure and private rear garden with the added benefit of a charcoal BBQ. The kitchen diner comfortably seats 8 guests and all table ware is provided. Children There are 2 travel cots on site which are stored in the under stair cupboard and you can assemble in a room of your choice upon arrival, there are stair gates top and bottom plus a high chair. Please do not leave children unattended in the high chair or around the stairs. Parking One reserved, dedicated parking space to the rear with ev charger and we ask that guests park within the white line as access MUST be allowed through the parking area onto the main road for local residents. A 2nd car can park on the road, blocking the first car in. It is a small village and as we are located in the heart of the village so parking is a premium but we are very lucky to be able to offer a dedicated space whilst allowing our neighbours ample access. Guests are asked not to park on anyone else's property, e.g. Post Office or village store.
Hosted by the owners, Orla & Paul. Moonfleet House has a sister property in the village which sleeps 6; Lazy Days Cottage opposite the village green and is only a few minutes walk from Moonfleet House. It also has private reserved parking and it boasts an ev charger.
Winterton on Sea is a pretty unspoilt Norfolk village with miles of dunes and sandy beach, all within a gentle walk of the village. The village boasts a pretty tea shop in the post office, Poppys and the local dog friendly pub serves great food, year round. From November to early February, the beach at Winterton on Sea and neighbouring Horsey play host to the local grey seal population for pupping season - 1,000's of seal pups are born every year. In addition, the Norfolk Broads are less than 5 miles away making Winterton a perfect base for exploring further afield. Great Yarmouth is a short drive away offering guests a traditional UK seaside feel.
