Moss Side Farm Cottage is a semi-detached cottage close to the village of Broughton-in-Furness and just 7.5miles from Coniston. The cottage sleeps eight people and has three double bedrooms, one twin room and two ground floor bathrooms. Also in the cottage are a kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside is ample off road parking and a lawned garden with hot tub and furniture. Situated in the south western corner of the Lake District, Moss Side Farm Cottage is a lovely family holiday cottage all year round. Note: you will need to provide your own towels. This property can't accept changeovers on Saturday or Sunday. Note: you will need to provide your own towels

Neighbourhood information

Dating back to the 11th century, Broughton-in-Furness is situated in the south western corner of the Lake District and is just six miles from Coniston Water. There is much to please the visitor such as a pretty, cobbled square complete with a splendid horse chestnut tree, enclosed by shops, pubs and homes, many of them Georgian in origin. The village provides an ideal base for a walking or climbing holiday, with ample opportunity to explore the rugged beauty of the Duddon Valley and the quieter Lake District fells. Norman Nicholson, one of Britain's finest 20th century poets and William Wordsworth, both immortalised this area in their writing and poetry. The village was home to Branwell Bronte, brother of the Bronte sisters, for a short time.
