This historic village boasts a pub that is nearly 200 years old, as well as being the home of the Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir, which was formed in 1934. Nearby Stocksbridge holds a variety of eateries and shops, together with many bridleways and footpaths, while Broomhead and Langsett dams make for interesting afternoon rambles.
