Ocean View, a charming fisherman's cottage at the end of Ferry Road, is just moments from Walberswick beach, the characterful Bell pub and the local ferry that will take you to Southwold.

Walberswick is a perfect place for a beach holiday and is generally quieter than neighbouring Southwold. The village has a beautiful shingle and sand beach and there are lots of spots ideal for crabbing which can be absolutely engrossing for younger members of your party. The beach backs onto sand dunes and marshland and there is a national nature reserve which follows the river estuary up towards Blythburgh and expansive reedbeds which are home to bitterns, marsh harriers and otters to name a few. Walberswick has a couple of good pubs, a village shop and The Black Dog Deli for some tasty treats so you can leave the car for the week if you fancy. It is a short hop across the river to visit neighbouring Southwold. You can either take the bailey bridge or the foot ferry which operates in the summer months. Southwold has lots of independent shops to browse and pubs and restaurants along with the Adnams brewery to explore. In the other direction along the coast you will find the small village of Dunwich and the RSPB wildlife reserve at Minsmere. If you are feeling adventurous you can walk from Walberswick along the coast path.
