Once Upon a Tide is a brand new lovingly renovated family lockdown project, designed for peace and tranquillity located in the heart of Bude. The accommodation is located on the ground floor, provides private, free parking, free WiFi, flat screen TV, and all linen and towels. The apartment comprises of a separate entranceway, a fully equipped kitchen diner (please see below for details), a lounge, a double bedroom and bathroom which offers a bath with a separate shower cubicle. Additionally, there is a shared outside area which has a hot, outside shower and separate outside tap perfect for washing off sandy wetsuits at the end of the day! Or sit in the shared garden and enjoy the evening sun. The property can accommodate 2 adults and a young child as a travel cot and high chair are provided. No pets allowed. Deb has lived in Bude for many years after it being a popular childhood visiting spot, bringing up her own two children in Bude. In 2021, as a family we took it upon ourselves to convert the basement into a modern, calm space to welcome visitors. Deb and the family have extensive knowledge of the area and are more than happy to help with any questions guests may have.

The property is located in the heart of Bude, a short walk (10 minutes) from Summerleaze Beach which hosts a beautiful bay and is home to the famous Bude Sea Pool. It provides opportunities for water sports notably its surfing conditions or simply relaxing on the vast sandy beach. Summerleaze Beach holds a Blue Flag Award and is RNLI lifeguarded. Equally, the center of town is a short walk (5 minutes) which boasts many restaurants, takeaways, convenience stores and independent shops, perfect for everyone’s needs. The South West Coast path is easily accessible making exploring local surrounding areas a great day out, including Widemouth Bay or Northcott Mouth. Or pop down to Bude Canal for an accessible walk. Bude Golf Course, Better Leisure Centre and The Venue (ten pin bowling and soft play) are all within walking distance to suit the needs of everyone. Within Bude, there are plenty of adventure activities to participate in including climbing, kayaking, paddle boarding and many more. Likewise, Bude is the perfect destination for a relaxing, chilled holiday.
