Good accessibility for all parts. Car port made wheelchair access in the dry an added benefit. Using a battery electric vehicle a charger on site was a real benefit. The welcome and introduction to the cottage by the owner was something we have...

Company information

Richard and Kaye live on site in the farmhouse and are always available to answer any questions or provide local information when necessary. Both Richard and Kaye are keen gardening enthusiasts and always have new projects "on the go" to enhance the property and attract even more wildlife into the gardens. The lake, wildlife ponds, wooded copse areas, barn owl boxes, hedgehog houses, bat boxes, are just some examples of the projects completed. Newly installed in 2021 is a bird watching Hide located by the lake, and looking out over open country side as many of our regular guests are keen wildlife photographers. Kaye has recently launched a range of home made products "Clematis Cottage Country Kitchen Creations" and these are now available alongside their own honey, eggs and vegetable boxes. They make lovely gifts! As a result of many requests to do so, Richard (resident beekeeper,) now offers practical introductory courses in beekeeping. Please ask for more details before or during your stay so that you can enjoy some or all of them whilst you are here. Many of our guests simply love sitting outside in the gardens (BBQs available,) or soaking up the quiet of the night taking in the stars and serenity of our location.(No light pollution here).

It is set on a hill top in 5 acres of grounds with rolling views of open countryside; one of several executive cottages available. It is fully independent, featuring it's own private undercover parking, garden, and undercover seating area. The cottage has high speed broadband, is centrally heated with underfloor heating throughout (even in the wetrooms) and is fully self-contained. The open plan kitchen/dining area/lounge features a built in eye level Neff fan oven with slide and hide door, and eye level Neff microwave. Family sized fridge and freezer making the cottage suitable for long term stays. The electric hob is fitted into the granite worktops with extractor over, the kitchen also benefits from an integrated dishwasher, 2 flatscreen TV's (one to Lounge (Smart TV) and one in the dining area, plus flatscreen TVs in both bedrooms. The separate utility room features a washing machine, tumble drier and separate high level W.C. The large master bedroom has two sets of ceiling to floor fitted (and lit) wardrobes, and benefits from a luxurious wetroom with drop down seat, hand held shower together and drencher, grab rail, heated towel rail, high level loo, grab rail, and feature washbasin with shaver socket. The second bedroom is almost identical in all respects but the wetroom is accessed from a separate door making it suitable for additional guests who could sleep on the sofa bed in the double lounge.
