Nigel is a musician, photographer and former magazine editor. He and his wife Stephanie - a former nurse - previously lived in Dorset and West Yorkshire and moved to Hook Norton in the Cotswolds some three years ago due its proximity to both Oxford and Stratford upon Avon. Both now retired, they run Orchard Road Studio Apartment as a joint venture and very much enjoy welcoming guests and meeting new people...

Hook Norton is a large village in a wonderful location at the edge of the Cotswolds. It boasts three pubs, open all day, plus a well-stocked shop, post office, butcher, hairdresser, doctor & dentist. It's home to Hook Norton Brewery with its own Malthouse Cafe and shop offering a large range of beers, wines & spirits. Hook Norton is just 5 miles from Chipping Norton - often described as the gateway to the Cotswolds - and a bustling market town with a broad range of shops, cafes, pubs & restaurants plus an open market. It lies roughly midway between Oxford & Stratford-upon-Avon - with Cheltenham, Warwick & Leamington Spa all easily reached by car. Blenheim Palace, Soho Farmhouse, Whichford Pottery & the Rollright Stones are all a short distance away. Major events in the area include festivals at Cropredy, Blenheim, Kingham, Cornbury & Wilderness - plus many annual events in and around Oxford and Stratford.
