Hello! We are David and Elizabeth. We are both passionate about Farnham, having lived here for more than 30 years. We have great local knowledge so will be happy to help with any questions you may have to ensure you get the most out of your stay. We love hosting and are proud of our gem of a cottage. The contemporary ground floor is open plan with a fully equipped kitchen (sink, dishwasher, fridge, 3.5kg washing machine, electric cooker with 4-ring hob, oven and grille, extract and microwave) as well as dining and living areas with TV and Wi-Fi. There is a wet-room with shower, basin, toilet, mirror and heated towel rail. There is an iron and ironing board. A steep staircase leads to a comfortable main bedroom with king-size bed, dressing/single bedroom , and toilet. The cottage has central heating thoughout. Outside is a small, pretty patio with a parasol, table and chairs. It's quite a sun trap. Our cottage is in the heart of the market town of Farnham yet it's surprisingly quiet. Just around the corner is a large choice of artisan cafes and individual shops. The whole of the town centre can be accessed within less than 10 minutes on foot. A two-minute walk in the other direction is the River Wey and the beginning of circular water meadows' walks. There are many walks from your doorstep. Farnham is a designated craft town with outdoor sculpture, a working pottery with cafe and a few art galleries. Over the river you will find an art venue, The Maltings, which holds, amongst many other things, indoor vintage clothes' fairs, arts and crafts workshops together with evening events such as stand-up comedians, talks by ex politicians and cinema. On summer Sunday afternoons you will find free live music concerts in one of the town's meadows. There are many places of interest to visit in and around Farnham such as the castle, the museum, the Bourne Woods and Frensham Ponds. There is the popular "Go Ape" activity in Alice Holt Forest. Bikes to hire from here can be delivered to the cottage. The station is about a 10-minute walk and the trains to London run every half hour and take about 1 hour.

Farnham is a delightful market town on the Surrey/Hampshire boarder. Mentioned in the Doomsday book of 1086. It has many places of interest to visit such as is castle and museum .Farnham offers pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops to suit all tastes as well as easy access to beautiful countryside. The train to London runs every half hour and takes about 1 hour.
