I am sure you will feel very comfortable and cosy here, whatever time of year you choose to stay. I love introducing guests to Exmoor, or welcoming them back to this beautiful area of England. It’s a stunning yet often overlooked part of the country. As a guest once wrote in a Visitors’ Book, “We asked ourselves why we had driven past Somerset for years when everything we wanted and more was here.” And I believe that’s true. To one side is the sea and inviting beaches, to another purple heather humming with bees on the moor, and in between a patchwork of villages, peppered across the land, with local artisans and independent businesses that you are going to love. Shortly before your stay, I will organise a short pre-arrival call so I can make sure I have everything needed to make your holiday with us as happy as possible. A spacious luxury thatched cottage, sleeping eight guests in four beautifully decorated en-suite bedrooms. The charming 17th-century thatched cottage boasts high-quality, modern-day living features, furnishings, and amenities. The large, sunny sitting room with a wood-burning stove is perfect for family and friends to get together. The 50" smart TV also has Netflix and Sky (basic package). There's a small desk if you need to work, with WiFi at approx 35Mbps. There's a charming well-equipped country-style kitchen, with a range cooker and plenty of room to prepare meals. The dining room has a custom-built table perfect for casual dinners or special occasions like Christmas and Easter. Upstairs there are three beautifully decorated en-suite bedrooms, two kings and a cosy double. Downstairs The Garden Room is can be configured as either a super king or a twin (you choose). In all our bedrooms we provide high-quality Hypnos or Hotel Standard mattresses, as well as sumptuous bedding and bedlinen for a great night's sleep. Outside, there’s a gorgeous and large cottage garden, with a pretty pathway to the hot tub (please bring your own beach towels and footwear for use in the tub). There are two seating areas for al fresco meals, one on the ground floor terrace and a second on the higher patio, with distant views to the Exmoor hills. Pilgrim Corner is a child-friendly holiday cottage, is perfect for a group of adults – and dogs are welcome too! Five Star Gold rated by VisitEngland. Pilgrim Corner is in the quietest and prettiest part of the Victorian town of Minehead alongside beautiful whitewashed thatched cottages at the foot of the historic church steps. The cottage is within an International Dark Sky Reserve and guests can enjoy the constellations from the garden.
