There is also a pretty waterfall called Waterfall Park, and it is just a short walk to where you can watch cricket in the summer months. There are two village greens, with High Green being close to Postman’s Lodge, and the second Low Green is towards the lower part of the village and is next to the River Leven, and is a picturesque area ideal for picnics. You can visit the Captain Cook Schoolroom Museum nearby as well as the Captain Cook Memorial Garden or his monument perched high up on the moors.
