This spacious, comfortable room sits within a fully renovated detached house, just 100 yards from South Park and within easy walking distance of the town centre and train station. AstraZeneca is around 10 minutes away by car, making it ideal for both business and leisure stays.
We bought the house twelve months ago and have completely refurbished it from top to bottom. The renovation is now complete, though a few small finishing touches remain. These won’t affect your stay. The garden is next on the list, with plans for a full revamp over the winter months. The property does sit back from a main road, this room does sit at the front of the property and some road noise may be heard but it is very quiet during the late hours.
The room is furnished with a king-size bed, quality bedding, and designer touches throughout. You’ll have access to shared spaces including the modern kitchen, open-plan living area, and a dedicated home office.
For single-night stays, the bathroom is private. For longer bookings, it may be shared occasionally depending on other guests.
Private parking is available on the drive, and the house has fast Wi-Fi throughout.
Two friendly dogs, Piper and Skylar, live downstairs. They don’t have access to the guest room but are always happy to say hello if you’d like to meet them.
Hi! I’m Thomas: Mancunian by birth, Peak District enthusiast and now ruling Macclesfield with my husband and two dogs in tow. Home host, culinary wizard (and occasional disaster-level househusband), world-class friend, and maker of an unbeatable cup of tea
Set in the heart of Macclesfield, our neighbourhood offers the best of Cheshire countryside and easy access to vibrant city life. Right behind the house lies South Park, a beautiful 44-acre green space with walking paths, play areas, tennis courts, bowling greens, and Ryles Pool, home to ducks and swans — perfect for a morning jog or a peaceful stroll. A short walk away, West Park provides ornamental gardens, open lawns, and family-friendly facilities, while history lovers may want to visit the neighbouring cemetery, resting place of Joy Division’s Ian Curtis. For those who enjoy the outdoors, the River Bollin Trail offers scenic walks through meadows and villages, and the Peak District is just a short drive away with stunning spots like Cheedale and The Roaches, ideal for hiking and dog-friendly adventures. Families will love day trips to Tittesworth Water Sports Centre, Peak Wildlife Park, or Alton Towers, all within easy reach.
Macclesfield’s food and drink scene is full of character — try Suburban Bar and Restaurant for relaxed brunches or The Picturedrome, a beautiful old cinema turned food hall with local traders, craft beer, and a lively atmosphere. From here, you can reach Manchester in around 25 minutes by train, perfect for exploring its industrial heritage, creative Northern Quarter, and famous nightlife, with bars like The Alchemist, Schofield’s, and The Blues Kitchen. Liverpool is also an easy day trip away, offering world-class museums, the Albert Dock, and The Beatles Story. Whether you prefer countryside walks, cultural cities, or great local food, our location makes it easy to enjoy the very best of the North West.
