Quarry Bank, in Chapel Stile, is a modern terraced property over three floors that sleeps 6. It has been beautifully refurbished. Chapel Stile is a former slate mining village located in Langdale home to some of the most dramatic landscapes in the Lake District. Quarry Bank is an ideal base to relax and enjoy this exceptional place. The living room has large windows providing fantastic views towards Lingmoor. The village with its convenient Co-op, Brambles cafe, welcoming village church and Wainwrights pub is only a few minutes walk away. The master bedroom on the ground floor has an en-suite shower room and the second bedroom is a twin using a spacious family bathroom with shower over the bath. The utility room on the ground floor is a useful space for washing and storing muddy boots after a long walk on the fells. The kitchen and open plan living-dining room provide a large open space to relax after a day’s walking and exploring. There is parking for one vehicle to the rear of the property.

Chapel Stile, in the heart of the Langdale valley, is a village that used to serve the local slate workings – well served on a good local bus route and with a convenient little Co-op which carries an impressive stock to support you on your holidays, and of course the local village pub, Wainwrights Inn. For those who wish to explore further afield, a bus stop is located nearby in Chapel Stile. Buses are frequent and connect guests with the wider towns and outstanding scenery of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Leaving the car behind and jumping on a bus to explore the National Park not only helps to look after the spectacular landscape but also gives passengers the opportunity to see it without the challenge of negotiating narrow, and sometimes steep, country lanes or search for parking at your destination. By sitting back watching the landscape go by, the journey becomes part of your adventure!
