Next to the village train station of Whaley Bridge, gives easy access to Buxton and Manchester town centres, a short drive to Castleton with its famous caverns, easy reach to the Derbyshire Dales and Chatsworth and you can walk along the Peak Forest Canal from your doorstep! The village has coffee shops, local pubs and shops and close by restaurants.

Known as the “Gateway to the Goyt Valley”, the pretty town of Whaley Bridge is located at the head of the scenic Peak Forest Canal. The 15 mile canal begins (or ends) in the village and walkers can follow this trail all the way to Ashton-under-Lyne. Why not rent a canal boat and enjoy the waters of the canal. Being next to the station, take the train to explore Buxton or Manchester City Centre. Close by, is the calm Combs Reservoir where you can walk the 2 milk circular route around it.
