My name is Sarah Wood and I own the house with a group of friends looking to provide a different level of service to our guests. Known as Quince Investments, we aim to give you a truly special stay. Our houses are no ordinary holiday homes, they exude charm and homeliness but above all comfort. We want you to experience the best of the best. Great locations, great facilities and something that’s just a little bit different. All our houses have hot water outside baths, they are fun to use and special places to relax. All the houses have been built with sustainability in mind, they are very well insulated, way above the norm, we have electric car charging points for you to use, we have only used the most efficient lighting. We want to do our bit for the environment as we know you do. We ask you pick up your rubbish and don’t drop anything on the beach or in the sea, as in turn less plastic means better cleaner waters – we have all watched the documentaries.

Stop and smell what’s sweet Roebucks Rose is named after the cheeky roe deer who often comes close to snaffle the roses, it’s the boundless fauna and flora that inspired our gardener, Posy, to create a sun-drenched courtyard garden as a haven for families. Engulfed in Cotswold stone, the single-storey barn brings together rustic character with contemporary design, while a soak in the Quince outdoor copper bath elevates any mood to happy.

13 acres of private land surrounds the barn. Benches, swings, picnic areas and places to climb trees are all on site. Beyond, we recommend exploring the wonderful Chimney Meadows Nature Reserve on the edge of the River Thames which surrounds the barns, with lots of walks and cycle routes for all standards. We have endeavoured to make the house as practical but comfortable as possible, with entertaining always in mind. The barn is in a rural location, whilst supermarkets deliver, takeaway deliveries are not available and you will need to book taxis in advance. The buzz of Oxford’s vibrant city centre is within 30 minutes’ drive and the wonderful and picturesque Cotswolds is on your doorstop waiting to be explored.
