Great Welsh Escapes Ltd is a young and modern company with a fresh approach. The concept first started several years ago after Michelle Davies, Managing Director, relocated back to Wales, after spending 15 years in London, studying a BSc in Tourism Management, then on to pursue a career in Lettings and Property Management, resulting in the setting up of a Property Inventory company based in West London. Michelle has now done a full circle, with moving back to her hometown, and going back to her Tourism routes, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and experience.

This bungalow offers an abundance of space, with a large kitchen diner with two ovens, ideal for larger groups. There is an additional annexe available to cater for a total of 12 guests as a whole property - please contact for special price for both properties. Access is disabled friendly, and there are 4 bedrooms (master King Bedroom with ensuite). Further bedrooms offer 1 double bedroom, a single with trundle bed, and a twin. The living room is large and airy with ample space and seating, large TV and DVD, and some board games, and WIFI. The kitchen offers a lovely dining space with large table and comfortable seating. The cupboard are well stocked to cater for all family needs. There is a large family bathroom as well as the ensuite. There is a lovely outdoor patio with seating, and beautiful mature gardens. Pets are welcome. The property is 10 minute walk from the centre of Laugharne.

Laugharne is perhaps best known for its associations with Wales' most famous poet, Dylan Thomas, however, there is much more to Laugharne than just Dylan Thomas. Laugharne is a small town sitting on the estuary of the Taf River and offers stunning estuary walks, including the infamous Dylan Thomas Birthday Walk. There are also plenty of woodland walks and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path starts nearby. It is an ancient town steeped in history, and a popular tourist destination with many great attractions in the area. With its easy accessibility to the M4, and prime location, also makes it a great base to visit Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. The Boathouse, where Dylan and Caitlin lived with their children is now a heritage centre. Overlooking the estuary are the dramatic ruins of a Norman Castle, a popular visitor attraction. Laugharne has a good choice of cafes and restaurants, including the well known Browns Hotel. There are also a good choice of outdoor activities available in the area, ranging from horse riding, coasteering, to a variety of water sports, abseiling, orienteering, caving and gorge walking. There are many beautiful rugged beaches in the area.
