Racecourse Road is one of the nicest, tree lined streets in Ayr. You are between the beach and the town centre, so it is easy to walk to both. Ayr Beach and the Esplanade are about ten minutes on foot for a morning walk or a sunset stroll. The Low Green is close for open space and picnics. Shops, cafés and bars in the centre are roughly fifteen minutes away or a short taxi ride. Alloway, home of Robert Burns, is just along the road with the Birthplace Museum, Brig o Doon and the Auld Kirk. Golf is well served at Belleisle and Seafield, with Royal Troon a little further up the coast. Ayr Racecourse and the Citadel Leisure Centre are also easy to reach. Buses run on the main routes nearby and Ayr station gives simple links to Glasgow and the west coast. Evenings are quiet and residential here, but you are never far from a good coffee or dinner in town.
