Step back in time and experience a piece of Lancashire’s history at this unique 200-year-old house in the heart of Trawden village. Once a farmhouse, then a bakery, and even the birthplace of Hartley’s Jam, this charming property offers a truly authentic stay surrounded by countryside, heritage, and local character.
- Originally built as a farmhouse around 200 years ago
- Once home to the original Hartley’s Jam kitchen in 1874
- Later used as Pickles Bakery – historic photo displayed inside
- Lovingly converted while retaining original stonework and character
- EV charging available on-site (at a cost)
- Free parking available for guests
The Space
- Two-bedroom home with kitchen, dining room, living room, and bathroom
- Living room accessed down two steps with traditional double doors
- Historic features throughout including old flour shoots, dry stone foundations, and original doorways
- Warm, welcoming interiors offering modern comfort with a touch of history
Sleeping Arrangements
- Bedroom 1 – double bed
- Bedroom 2 – twin beds
- Sleeps up to 4 guests comfortably

- Bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet, and sink

- The Trawden Arms pub (120 yards away) serves excellent local food
