About this property

A late Victorian mansion, Somerton House Hotel bears the distinctive red sandstone like much of the buildings within the town of Lockerbie. The hotel boasts free parking, a bar, a children’s playground, a garden and a restaurant. Within the restaurant a breakfast buffet is served in the morning. In the evening there is also an extensive menu with many of the dishes having an emphasis on locally caught fish and game. All the rooms are elegantly furnished with en suite facilities, full free Wi-Fi coverage, a LCD TV with built-in DVD/iPod players and a work desk. With easy access to the surrounding countryside, Somerton House Hotel is a 40-minute drive from the magnificent Grey Mare’s Tail Waterfall and a 4-minute drive to Lockerbie Golf Club. With only a 15-minute drive to the popular Dalton Pottery Art Café, guests can decorate their own ceramics.
