It is a beautiful cottage that has been superbly modernised. Facilities are excellent and the welcome basket of treats was a nice touch. The cottage is ideally situated in the town, close to restaurants and supermarkets.

The hosts were very accommodating and the location is central to allow for travelling to attractions. The property was very clean and spacious enough for the 4 of us (2 adults, 2 children). Would definitely recommend.

We started life and met in Manchester (UK), after our travels around the globe, we settled in Salisbury. During our early days in the area, we would drink and dine at the local Greyhound Tavern. 20 years on and a family later, we could not resist the opportunity to buy the old place, our front door is the old pub main entrance, our tv nestles against a wall where the original bar stood for all those years earlier. The summer of 2022 is our first venture into the world of holiday let, we love our new house, its character and the all round feeling it gives, its not just us, everyone loves the place!
Stone Cottage is ideally situated on the edge of the Town of Amesbury, Wilshire. Traditionally known as the home of Stonehenge, Amesbury is also proud to boast its status as the longest continuous settlement in the United Kingdom, dating back to 8820 BC. The current town located on the River Avon has its origins from 950AD and whilst historical influence is ever present, it benefits from all the trappings of a town centre location with easy access to hotels, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, shops and transport links. Within 9 miles (15minutes drive) , you can be at the doorstep of the beautiful Medieval city of Salisbury – still basking in its Lonely Planet Ranking at number 7 of the best cities in the world to visit. Further afield we have The New Forrest, Southampton, Bournemouth, Sandbanks, Poole, Bath, Cotswolds, Winchester all approximately 1 hours drive.
