Maggie and the team began hosting guests some 20 years back and acquired these beautiful properties in 2010. We have refurbished throughout but retained the character and feel of a London home. We operates a tight ship and guests will likely see Maggie supervising day-to-day matters as she loves to keep 'hands on' and is always trying to ensure your stay is nothing short of exceptional. Having been based in Bloomsbury for so long, our team are here to provide guests with advice ranging from dining to entertainment and including access to ticket agents for some of the more difficult to secure events taking place. We own two neighbouring properties, both dating back to the 1800s, and only minutes from The British Museum. The property is in a quiet street, has period features and offers a choice of Studio (with kitchenette & ensuite) or Double Room (with shared kitchen/bath). Double Rooms are on the lower ground & ground level. Studios are on lower ground, ground, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th levels. The property offers a warm, cosy and safe base for visitors in the heart of the world famous Bloomsbury district. We have great bus, walking and tube routes from the three stations all only minutes away: Russell Square (Piccadilly Line) Holborn (Piccadilly & Central Lines) and Tottenham Court Road (Central, Elizabeth and Northern Lines).

Bloomsbury's tree-lined streets, Regency terraces and numerous small garden squares (like Russell and Bloomsbury) create an unmistakable backdrop for all visitors. The historic Bloomsbury Group, which included writer Virginia Woolf, poet Dorothy Sayers and economist John Maynard Keynes were known to hold coffee shop debates in this fashionable part of pre-war London. Many famous people still live in this area and many homes of historically important people are recorded with the famous Blue Plaques fixed to the buildings where they lived. For Bloomsbury this includes Charles Dickens & Charles Darwin. In more recent times Bloomsbury Publishing (Bedford Avenue) took a chance on the strange manuscript called Harry Potter! Transport links are exceptional with easy walks to the British Museum; the British Library (to see Beatles song notes, 1st edition Gutenberg Bibles and 2 copies of the Magna Carta). Bloomsbury is a treasure trove of history and the arts include 20 theatres, numerous comedy/music venues across Soho, and Covent Garden less than 15 minutes away. With picturesque small parks including Russell Square and Bloomsbury Square you will be spoilt for choice before indulging in gastronomic delights at the diverse array of cafes, restaurants, and eateries. You really are in for a treat at Bloomsbury!
