Hi. Simon and I have been married for over 19 years and we have 3 children. Simon is an aircraft designer and I am an emergency nurse practitioner working in a local minor injuries unit as well as an emergency department. Family is very important to us and we love the outdoor, rural life. Whether we are hosting or holidaying, we are kind, friendly, approachable and trustworthy. We always look after and enjoy the properties we stay in and we look after our guests the same way. In fact, we go the extra mile for our guests where possible and always strive to make their stays unique and special. We live on site and are on hand if needed in any way. We both work but are highly responsive to any guest queries. We do not tend to meet and greet as the self check-in procedure works very well. On the other hand, if guests prefer a welcome tour, we happily oblige. We do message guests once they have arrived to check all is well and we do the same upon departure. It is important to us that guests have total space to enjoy their stay in peace.

Poppy Cottage is a beautiful, stylish, spacious and peaceful one / two bedroom cottage set over three floors within the grounds of a former farm that was once owned by the local Monastery. In Medieval times, the Monks used the farm as a safe haven, seeking refuge from the atrocities of King Henry VIII. Today the farm welcomes holiday and short stay guests and the cottage itself is warm, inviting and fully equipped with everything guests should need for a relaxing stay whilst in the midst of glorious countryside.
