Private Wood is a stunning three bedroom stone built home ( flat screen 42 inch Smart TVs in two of the bedrooms) with a STUNNING STARGAZING ROOM (bring your own stargazing equipment, we use a set of binoculars) and large living accommodation. Modern bathroom suite with an en-suite to the main bedroom downstairs. FREE WIFI, NETFLIX & SKY TV and a large fully fitted kitchen. The home has carefully designed to a high standard and gives you what need for a comfortable stay. Set in a beautiful rural hamlet within 4 minutes drive to Kielder reservoir. One of the many reasons we have visitors all through the year are due to the numerous walks which are literally on our doorstep and our home overlooks the North Tyne river. We first came to the National Park back in 2012 and simply fell in love with it. The area boasts so many opportunities and activities that you will keep yourself busy no doubt. We have sought to equip our home to a high standard and to anticipate your needs by providing all the things you might want for a luxurious stay. The washing machine is located in the kitchen so that you don’t have to worry about luggage restrictions if coming from overseas. You want to have a wonderful holiday and we want that for you too. Kielder Water – Kielder NE48 1BT Home to England’s largest forest and the biggest man-made lake in Northern Europe, Kielder Water & the National Forest Park is a playground for cyclists, walkers and outdoor enthusiasts. A haven for wildlife, the best dark skies in England and award-winning art & architecture… Kielder will inspire, surprise and enthral you. Kielder Observatory – Sited in the largest gold tier-protected dark sky park in the whole of Europe. You can walk up to the Observatory during the day and enjoy the spectacular views but there are no facilities available during the day. Skyspace, a circular sculpture which is illuminated by a combination of natural and artificial light at different times of the day, can also be accessed via the track to the Observatory. During dusk, the changing light conditions create a rich and unforgettable display of tone and colour. To book the observatory we advise that you do it sooner rather than later as it gets booked up quick. The Campaign for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE) say the star-studded skies above Kielder Water & the National Forest Park are the darkest in England
