Nestled in the Cambrians we have our cosy caravan set up in front of our 400+ year old farmhouse overlooking the Pwll Penarth Nature reserve, National Cycle Route 81 and the River Severn with almost panoramic views. As you come up our long stone track to the ancient farm it feels like you are leaving the stress behind ( walking up through Porthouse Wood is advised as it's very pretty or ask for us to come and get you in our Landrover if your not driving up ) . Join us & become part of our journey as we restore the 400+ year old farmhouse and surrounding barns . It really is the best of both worlds here you can cut yourself off from the modern world for a nature fest and low light pollution to star gaze or walk in to town in 25 mins and visit Wetherspoons Screwfix and all the other 21st century wonders of Newtown , the choice is yours ! If you plan on using the fire pit we have logs for sale for cash . Please advise us on what type of vehicle you are arriving in prior to booking thanks
This is a new journey for us so please bear with as it's work in progress whilst renovating the farmhouse and areas . We are a friendly bunch and you will get a very unique experience if you come up and stay here. The access is not your usual type of road so please contact ahead with your travel plans and also confirm with us if you are bringing pets & what vehicle if you are driving . Due to overhanging trees vehicles higher than 2.5m may struggle to get up the track but it's a lovely 800m walk if you like nature and a ramble.
We are located above Pwll Penarth Nature reserve overlooking the national Cycle Route 81 and the River Severn / Montgomeryshire Canal with panoramic hillside views . As you come up our long stone track to the ancient farm it feels like you are leaving the stress behind , walking up through Porthouse Wood is advised as it's very pretty and a designated walking route . Powis Castle / Welshpool 20 mins in the car and and Lakes Bala & Vyrnwy Barmouth and Aberystwyth just over an hour drive. Plenty to see & do or just chill out and relax.
