Get away from it all when you stay in the Cairn Hut, set 2 miles from the village of Lybster & the NC500 route. The site is in a rural spot but offers easy access for guests to find us. The Cairn Hut is a small cosy Shepherd's Hut capable of sleeping 2 people. The cabin has an induction hob for cooking and comes with its own private outside space and firepit (as per photos). Your private toilet block is just a few steps away from your cabin. Private parking on site.

Guest visiting ForbesCroft Huts love the remote feeling of our site which offers ample outside space to enjoy the peace and quiet during your stay. If however the Highland weather or the fearsome midgie decides to play havoc with your visit to the Highlands you have a lovely hut to relax in. Within half a mile of the site is Rumster forest which is ideal for walking and cycling. The village of Lybster offers a host of amenities including a restaurant, cafe, shop, heritage centre and golf course. The area offers easy access to attractions such as the Camster Cairns, Whaligoe Steps, Sinclair Castle and has some great local cafes too all within a 10 mile radius. Wick and Thurso can also be accessed by a 20-25 minute car journey depending on which town you decide to visit.
