The Cosy Coach House is conveniently situated within the 'Hoe Village' which is just 5 minutes from Plymouth City Centre and The Hoe Waterfront. This cosy House is a very popular Holiday Home and is consistently booked throughout the year. 'Cosy Coach House' Alfred Street is a detached cottage style property which has the benefit of a sunny courtyard alongside. The courtyard is furnished with an outdoor table and seating for 'al fresco' meals. The pretty courtyard has a wide selection of plants and there is a sail to diffuse the sunlight for those who don't like full sun. There is FREE garage parking with property for 1 car but please note that this will need to be booked as parking is in high demand.
I'm Dorothea and the Hoe Village has been my home for over 30 years. This is a vibrant and active local community as well as a popular destination for visitors to Plymouth. It is always a pleasure to welcome new guests and discovering why they have chosen to stay on the Hoe and I am pleasantly surprised by how much knowledge overseas visitors have acquired about Plymouth Hoe and it's history. I came to live in the Hoe Village as a young mother and feel very much part of the community after all these years. I have recently completed an MA in Ecological Design and about to embark on a PhD and my research will be looking into Design and Regenerative Farming. I am a keen gardener and when not working I can be found surrounded by vegetables and fruit on my permaculture allotment and physic garden near Central Park. I have spent much of my life travelling and am originally from Singapore. I am keen to re-visit China again after 30 years and I have never been to Japan so this is also on my to-do list!
The 'Hoe Village' is a unique place, with a vibrant community and ideally situated between the City Centre and the Hoe Waterfront. There are many lovely places to visit in and around Plymouth and plenty to choose from in restaurants, bars, pubs and coffee shops. There are many events like the National Fireworks Competition and MTV on the Hoe throughout the summer and these are very well attended so Book Early! If you're looking for a peaceful, tranquil location, then the Hoe may not be for you as it's a village community within a City so there are visitors and residents going about their day between the City Centre and the Waterfront. The Hoe has a vibrant vibe and during the summer there are concerts and activities on the promenade that bring many visitors to the area. There is a festival feel to the area during these occasions but as it is a residential location their is a general respect for those living or staying here. Naturally, there are the occasional excited revellers but on the whole it's very chilled out during the evenings.
