Ideally located for the bustling Market Town of Leyburn which includes a number of pubs, restaurants and shops. No need to use your car once you have arrived as everything you need is within walking distance of The Cottage.

The Forbidden Corner in Middleham is a must if you haven’t been before and it’s definitely not just for the children! After you have explored there, we would recommend you grab a bite to eat in The Saddle Rooms which is attached. Tickets for this must be booked in advance online. On a Friday there is a great market in the square where you can get all of your fresh produce for your stay with us. There are plenty of pubs close by, and lots of them serve their own homemade food too – the Golden Lion is a particular favourite or the Three Horse Shoes in Wensley which does a great takeaway pizza. In Leyburn there are a few restaurants too, the Sandpiper Inn does lovely food although you will need to book and just a little further is the Wensleydale Heifer in West Witton which is outstanding and a definite recommendation, they do get booked in advance so you will need to call to book a table. There is also a great Chinese restaurant in Richmond New Treasure Garden as well as Cucina in Richmond which offers great Yorkshire and Spanish tapas options. Tan Hill Pub (the highest pub in Britain) is a 40 minute drive from the cottage.
