Hayley and Dave previously owned a Gluten Free Deli and restaurant. They are acutely aware of the importance of protocols when preparing food for people with allergies and intolerances. In fact, many of our guests have followed Hayley and Dave because of this, such is their reputation. Menus are seasonal and make the most of local produce. Breakfast is when you want it, so whether you are an up and at ‘em sort, or fancy a lazy start to your day, it’s your decision. Dinner can be served to suit you too. Dave aims to make your stay with us everything you’d hoped it would be. Guided walks, wild swimming, a massage, clay pigeon shooting? Whatever you fancy, get in touch and he will try and get it arranged for you. Someone wants to watch a footy match on the tv whilst others enjoy listening to some music or want to watch a movie? No problem, we have two huge flat screens in different rooms. Fancy a sauna? Let Dave know and he’ll put a couple of logs in the burner.

This extraordinary Grand Designs house has recently undergone a complete refurbishment making it even more luxurious. Designer bedrooms with superking sized beds (which can become 2 good sized singles), with room to breathe. 3 rooms are lake facing and 2 look up across the fells. Facilities include an indoor heated pool, outdoor sauna and hot tub, and a well stocked games room with tea and coffee, snacks, beers and soft drinks. Ideal for a wet afternoon! The most amazing feature though, has to be The Dome Room. Under a geodesic ceiling, this immense space encompasses several lounge areas and a dining area. Beyond here, late afternoon, you can observe chef Hayley preparing evening meals if you’re dining with us. In summer, fling open the bi-folds and take in the amazing views of Lake Windermere and the surrounding mountains. There are two garden areas to chill in and ample free parking. We are only a 10 minute walk up a short but steep lane from buzzy Bowness, but you could be a million miles away. At night all you might hear is the occasional owl hooting.

We are situated up a short but steep road from the centre of Bowness on Windermere on a quiet cul de sac. The start of the Dales Way is literally around the corner. Most of the other large houses on the cul de sac are either residential or guest houses, so the neighbourhood is very peaceful. Our party people want a more laid back luxurious style with maybe a bit of Mum and Dad dancing to the vinyl record player!
