Located in Cratfield, The Firs site comprises of four luxury lodges and two large glamping safari tents, accommodating up to 16 guests. This beautiful site surrounded by nature is a wonderful opportunity for families and friends to gather, yet remain in their own individual spaces. The lodges and tents each have wood burning stoves, fully-equipped kitchens, luxury sitting areas, elegant bath or shower rooms, wood fired hot tubs and outdoor furniture. Cratfield is a pretty and peaceful spot just a 15-minute drive to Halesworth market town, fantastic for shopping and amenities with a large Co-Op supermarket and local independent stores including the ever-popular Focus Organic café and deli, Halesworth Bookshop and Purple Pumpkin Studio, a cafe where you can paint your own pottery. The Cut Arts Centre offers workshops, cinema, comedy, dance and various artistic performances as well as a café and bar. There are plenty of walks from Halesworth including Valley Farm Vineyards walks. There are also interesting off-the-beaten-track places to explore nearby such as Laxfield, Peasenhall and Fressingfield. The Suffolk coast is just a half hour drive away; visit the famous market town of Southwold, with its glorious, long sandy beach and traditional pier with amusement arcade, cafes and shops. The best restaurants include The Sole Bay Fish Company independent, and The Swan owned by Adnams who offer brewery and distillery tours. There are plenty of beautiful walks along the beach; Covehithe and Benacre Broad are wonderful options. And of course there’s Walberswick with The Bell Inn and The Black Dog Deli. For nature lovers, a little further south is Dunwich, a wide shingle beach, perfect for swimming and picnics. RSPB Minsmere is just along the coast, perfect for witnessing rare birds including avocets, bearded tits and bitterns. Aldeburgh has a thriving arts, music and literary scene and hosts a number of events throughout the year. The town is closely linked with composer Benjamin Britten and The Red House offers a snapshot into the composer's life and time in Aldeburgh.
