I was born in Yorkshire and have lived in Harrogate for over 25 years. I enjoy walking in the beautiful countryside and parks around Harrogate and exploring the Dales. I love eating out and socialising in the fabulous restaurants and bars here and with a teenage son, I enjoy lots of family activities too. Relax in this newly renovated, stylish and unique space. Warm and inviting, it's decorated in traditional Victorian style with a colourful modern twist. Based in the centre of Harrogate on a quiet street, The Kensington is 2 mins walk to shops, bars and restaurants and only 5 mins walk to the Convention Centre, the famous Bettys and The Stray. The space From the outside courtyard, steps lead down to the private front door and into a cosy lounge, where you can relax on the chesterfield sofa in-front of the striking Victorian fireplace and watch the smart LED TV or listen to music. At the far end is the modern kitchen, with shaker style cabinets and copper worktops, complete with kitchen utensils, including an integrated oven & microwave, fridge freezer, induction hob and welcome pack. The spacious breakfast bar, with brass feature lights, is perfect for dining or as a workspace. Leading off the lounge is a bright characterful bedroom, with comfortable Kingsize bed, unique wall murals, dressing table and large bay window with night and day blinds and occasional chair and table. Plus, a walk-in wardrobe and drawers. The bathroom is next door with vanity unit, roll top bath and separate walk-in shower. Quality toiletries are provided to enjoy. There is also a handy storage room available. The enclosed sunny courtyard is also available to enjoy, with pot plants and chairs. Please note this outside space is shared with Carlton House guests There are no stairs within the apartment, however there are 3 steps leading down to the entrance The Kingsize bed can be split into 2 singles on request. PLEASE NOTE, THE FRONT ENTRANCE IS FOR CARLTON HOUSE GUESTS (OUR 4 BED HOLIDAY LET ) - THE KENSINGTON ACCESS IS TO THE REAR OF THE PROPERTY THROUGH THE COURTYARD. We are a 2 minute walk to the town centre, with great shopping, bars and restaurants. We also have Odeon and Everyman cinemas and theatre 5 mins walk to Bettys cafe and the Stray 5 mins walk to the Convention Centre 7 mins walk to the Pump Rooms Museum, quaint Montpellier Quarter and West Park antiques 7 mins walk to Valley Gardens park (with tennis, crazy golf, skatepark, playground) and lovely walks through the pine woods to RHS Harlow Carr (and another Bettys teashop!) A short train ride to historic Knaresborough and York 3 mins walk to the train station (with shuttle buses to The Great Yorkshire Show - or a 9 min drive) 20 mins drive to Nidderdale and the Dales where you can explore villages including Ripley, Pateley Bridge, Grassington and Burnsell
