This riverside hideaway has a family bathroom with bath and shower, private parking for two cars and welcomes one well-behaved dog. Note: there are 3 flights of steps and some low beams. Please note a 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. This is fully refundable up to 60 days of arrival when your remaining balance payment is due. Neighbourhood information

The Leat is a peaceful riverside hideaway within walking distance of the charming and historic market town of Malmesbury, which dates back to the Iron Age. History lovers will enjoy visiting the hometown of King Athelstan, first king of all England (924-927), and the 12th Century abbey as well as England’s oldest hotel – Abbey House Gardens. Although a car is beneficial for guests wanting to explore the wider Cotswolds area, The Leat’s location makes it perfect for those who’d prefer to leave the car at home during their stay. As well as a wide choice of shops, there is a regular farmers' market - held at the historic Market Cross every Friday from 9am to 3pm - a library, museum and leisure centre with pool. Malmesbury is well-equipped with a plethora of independent stores, eateries and supermarkets, making catering for your stay at The Leat a breeze. For a special treat in the morning, head to Hobbs House Bakery (5-minute walk) for a fresh loaf, pastry or piping hot coffee.
