The Nook is a well presented, cosy cottage with plenty to do in the area to keep everyone entertained.. Ground Floor: Living/dining room: Smart TV, Ipod Dock, Woodburner Kitchen: Electric Oven, Gas Hob, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine First Floor: Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed Bedroom 2: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Bathroom: Corner Bath, Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. . On road parking; unloading at the door. No smoking.. The Nook is a cosy mid-terraced cottage situated in a quiet lane within the historic market town of Alnwick, and makes a superb retreat. With its wood burner in the living room, it ensures a warm welcome regardless of the season. The lovely kitchen/dining room is situated at the rear of the property and two double bedrooms on the first floor along with a fresh bathroom. The Nook enjoys a peaceful ambience, but is also within easy walking distance of Alnwick Castle and Garden. The many facilities available in the town centre includes a wide choice of restaurants, independent shops and a variety of pubs. Barter Books and Alnwick Playhouse are well worth a visit. Alnwick Castle is the home to the Duke of Northumberland and was a film location for Harry Potter’s ’Hogwarts’. Alnwick Garden has a spectacular water feature and the restaurant in the tree house is a popular visitor attraction. Head west into the Simonside Hills and visit the picturesque town of Rothbury, where the river Coquet flows by. The National Trust property at Cragside, with its Victorian house, lovely gardens and woodlands to explore, is situated on the cusp of Rothbury. Heading east will bring you to the Heritage coastline, this area is renowned for its miles of golden sandy beaches. Beach 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile. Free WiFi
