A large, private driveway and front garden gives you plenty of room to park your vehicle/s, giving you ease to unload your belongings and get settled in. As you walk through the front door there is an area for coats and shoes, to your right is a down stairs toilet. Straight away you are welcomed into a spacious, open plan living room and kitchen area with modern amenities. As you walk around the ground floor you won’t be able to help but notice the murals, we won’t tell you where they all are, but instead let you discover them as you make yourself at home! Speaking of making yourself at home, as you fill the kettle, be sure to peek out of the kitchen window and into the private garden where you you will find more lovely paintings by local artists. The house has central heating as well as the luxury of downstairs underfloor heating, perfect for coming home with soggy socks after adventuring around the surrounding nature reserves! Upstairs you’ll find two bedrooms and a bathroom. The master double bedroom is at the front of the house, set back away from the road, with double glazed windows to ensure a peaceful nights sleep. The room includes a fitted double wardrobe, plenty of space to store your belongings. Directly next door to the master bedroom, at the back of the house is a comfortable twin room with a fitted wardrobe. The bathroom has a large, powerful shower to immerse yourself in and a heated towel rail, should you so desire. A beautiful connection between this Somerset home and surrounding area is the link between its unique murals and the Glastonbury mural trail. Glastonbury is a ten minute drive and has so much to offer. With a High Street full of independent shops and colourful street art through out. If this is your cup of tea then you can pick up a paper copy of the map in local stores, we recommend Rogues Gallery as the best place to do this! Love being out doors? You are spoilt for choice, as you’re surrounded by nature reserves and cycle routes. There is the Ham Wall reserve just 1.3 miles from the front door, a place that is famous for incredible starling murmurations and is thriving in nature. Shapwick Heath (2.2 miles) and Westhay Moor (3.2 miles) to name a couple more, we shall leave you to the exploring of other Avalon marshes! There are some fantastic towns not too far from home, rich in history and culture. Voted in 2022 as the Best Small City for a City break, is the home of Hot Fuzz, Wells. A Meare (see what I did there?!) twenty minute drive from The Nook. Shop-a-holic? Perfect! The Nook is a fifteen minute drive away from Clark’s Village shopping outlet located in Street, with over 90 designer and high street stores. Adventurous? Hop in your car and within 20 minutes you could be exploring the caves of Wookey Hole, a fantastic family day out. Always worth checking to see if they have any special events on too! Feeling cheesy? Cheddar Gorge, the home of cheese, is a 25 minute drive from here. With the choice of activities such as rock climbing, caving and even free falling experiences you can get your adrenaline fix here! Or simply enjoy the incredible surrounding nature, play miniature golf or explore the shops and paper making factory. There is something for everybody and it is important that everybody is made to feel most welcome here at The Nook.
