Our cottage is located in the grounds of a retired farm in a quiet rural location, we now only keep a few horses and some hens for fresh eggs. The cottage has an EV Charge point available. By arrangement at certain times of the year, we can supply loose boxes and grazing so you can bring your own horse on holiday. The cottage get its name from being rebuilt, to a modern and high standard, from the barn that used to garage the farms carts and tractors. The property is strictly non smokers
We are a retired professional couple and have owned The Old Cart House for the past twenty years, during that time we have worked a policy of continuous improvement to maintain our high standards of welcome and comfort. We pride ourselves in trying to supply a Home from Home for all our guests. We live on site and are always available for help and advice with local knowledge and surroundings if required however we also respect your privacy
Our cottage is surrounded by fields and farm land, from the front the view is towards The Howardian Hills an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to Malton, fast becoming recognised as the food capital of Yorkshire with all its surrounding Michelin starred restaurants. The rear of the cottage looks over rolling fields and hills towards the spectacular North York Moors. Tranquility! If the children are looking for a little more action we are close to Flamingo Land Zoo and Theme Park and Eden Camp Military Museum. Scarborough, Whitby and Filey with their beaches and many visitor attractions and the historic city of York are all about a 40 minute drive away
